homework kinetic theory of matter it explain the states of matter , because of it is why we know that particles in a solid object are  strongly attached , that in liquid objects are separated and in a gas object they are not so united but not separated. matter in motion because of this some many laws have been created like the thermodinamic laws that says that the  particles in a cold object are moving slowly and in a warm object they are moving very fast ,  and if in a cold objects particles are begining to move faster it means that the object is getting warmer and  vice versa atoms atoms are the smallest particles in the world , the can't be divided in 2 , they are invisible  ,  atoms can form a molecule by mixing 2 or more atoms
USING VOCABULARY 1.the transfer of energy by direct contact is convention 2.energy of motion is kinetic energy 3.movement of thermal energy from warm to cool objects is heat 4.a measure of avarage kinetic energy of the molecules in a substance is called temperature 5 .potential energy is energy that is stored CHECKING CONCEPTS 1 .which of the following best describes energy D. it can cause change 2.what does a thermometer measure A.heat 3.what happens if 2 objects of different temperature are touching? Athermal energy transfers from the warmer object 4.during an energy transfer, what happens to the total amount of energy? C. it states the same 5.how does the sun's energy reach us? Cradiation 6.when would you most have the most potential energy a sitting at the top of the hill 7.which is not the name of a temperature scale? A joule 8what is the name given to any material that transfer thermal energy easly? D conductor 9.what also will increase as the speed of
THINKING CRITICALLY 16. Because we think that humans can do anything and the law of conservation of energy don't say that we can't preserve some energy 17. When you have two things at different temperatures, the molecules are separated by speed, in the coldest object they move slowly and in the hottest object they move quickly. If the heat flows from the hottest object to the cooler object, the molecules of the hot object slow down, and the molecules of the cold object increase their speed, until all the molecules move at the speed of the same velocity. Now, instead of having the molecules separated by their speed, we simply have a large set of molecules at the same rate. 2 law of thermodynamic 18. kinetic energy - because jack always fell from the mountain 19. everyone know they exist and use them but the difference is that they are applied to different studys or lenguaje 20. because the pain would be less 21. i think that first is halfway up then the highes
1.  If you are riding in a roller coaster as in figure 2-8 , how do you think your speed is related to your kinetic energy?your potencial energy? If i move , i'm producing kinetic energy and when the roler coaster is in the top of the base waiting to have spped enough to avance in the rest of the coaster 2.  As a roller coaster climbs to the top of the speepest hill on its track , when does the first car have the greatest potential energy? when does it have the greatest kinetic energy? when it's on the top of the rail it's like static so it's potential energy . when the coaster is falling from that part that i was talking about in the first part of the question it has the most potential energy 3. State the law of conservation of energy in your own words. It's like a easer thing for people to understand that you can not do anithing with energy , nor create it or destroy it 4.  You get up in the morning , get dressed , eat breakfast , walk to the bus stop
POTENTIAL - means - energy that comes from position or condition KINETIC ENERGY                                                   POTENTIAL ENERGY                !                                                                                           ! Objects in motion                                                           Objects that are not moving Eventhough you're not moving , you have the ability to move. When you raise an object , you give it   the ability to move 1.  POTENTIAL ENERGY IS PROPPER FROM Static objects 2. EXAMPLES OF POTENTIAL ENERGY   1. A rock sitting at the edge of a cliff  2. Tree branches high up in a tree  3. A stick of dynamite 4. The food we eat 5. A stretched spring in a pinball machine
orianna arroyo                                                                      ENERGY ENERGY is the ability to cause work THERE ARE DIFFERENT TYPES OF ENERGY...... KINETIC ENERGY Is the energy that is in motion POTENCIAL ENERGY Is the energy that is stored inside an object                                                                         ENERGY CAN NETHIER                                                       BE  DESTROYED NOR                                                                CREATED                                                       BUT IT CAN TRANSFORM                                                 FROM ONE FORM OF ENERGY MECHANICAL ENERGY          CHEMICAL ENERGY             ELECTRICAL ENERGY        potencial                            Is caused by vivious chemical         wherever it´s energy you             +                                                    reaction                                know it´s electrical          kin
HOMEWORK        Resume the videos                                                orianna Arroyo ENERGY ENERGY is the ability to make work, energy can be found in many number of forms  1.when you eat, that food gives you energy. 2.when you walk, there´s the sun that gives you energy by heat 3.when you walk by night, lamps give you electrical energy ALSO... There are other tipes of energy. POTENCIAL ENERGY that is the energy that is stored inside and object. KINETIC ENERGY that is energy that is in motion or moving like air.                                                              BUT REMEMBER THIS....                                                   ENERGY CAN NETHIER BE DESTROYED                                                   NOR CREATED BUT IT CAN                                   TRANSFORM FROM ONE FORM OF ENERGY MECHANICAL ENERGY           ELECTRICAL   ENERGY       CHEMICAL ENERGY
